Fire protection coordination
Defined design and coordination support for firefighting systems, smoke control and building-services life-safety interfaces.
MM / MEP–04A project-specific fire-protection scope with a defined regulatory basis, clear design responsibility, coordinated interfaces, stated performance criteria and traceable evidence for review, testing and acceptance.
Scope of service
Defined outputs, interfaces and stage responsibility.
The final scope is matched to the procurement route, available information and design responsibility. Unconfirmed inputs are held as project risks rather than hidden assumptions.
Scope
- Fire-strategy and MEP interface review
- Smoke-control and pressurisation coordination
- Firefighting-water and suppression coordination
- Fire-alarm and cause-and-effect interface review
- Compartmentation and fire-damper coordination
- Design-responsibility and authority-submission support
Project stages
- Regulatory and strategy review
- Concept performance criteria
- Detailed design or independent review
- Authority-submission support
- Construction inspection and witnessing where appointed
Typical deliverables
- Scope and responsibility matrix
- Performance criteria and design calculations
- System schematics and layouts
- Cause-and-effect input
- Equipment schedules
- Commissioning and witness requirements
Critical interfaces
The design is controlled at the points where disciplines meet.

Standards and review
Issue only what can be traced and checked.
Georgian Decree No. 41 and applicable authority requirements take precedence; relevant BS, BS EN and NFPA provisions are applied within the agreed project hierarchy and legal context.
Fire and life-safety advice is project-specific. Service limits, jurisdiction, building use, geometry, occupancy, fire-strategy inputs and certification responsibility must be agreed in a formal appointment. Milli MEP does not guarantee authority approval.
Relevant sectors
Applied where the operational brief shapes the engineering.
Appointment questions
Clarify responsibility before work starts.
Does this page provide a fire-engineering solution for my building?
No. General website information cannot establish a compliant system. The building geometry, occupancy, fire strategy, local law and defined design responsibility must be reviewed under appointment.
Can Milli MEP review a contractor’s smoke-control design?
Yes, subject to an agreed review basis, access to the governing fire strategy and calculations, and a clear statement of what the review does and does not certify.
Does design support guarantee authority approval?
No. Approval remains with the relevant authority and depends on the complete project submission, current law and matters outside Milli MEP’s control.
