Issue only what can be traced and checked.
The agreed review basis identifies the applicable Georgian requirements, project standards, relevant CIBSE, BS, BS EN, BSRIA, ASHRAE or NFPA references and any reliance limitations.
The review level, sample basis, available information and reliance limits are agreed before work starts. A peer review does not transfer the original designer’s responsibility unless the appointment expressly changes it.

Is an independent review the same as redesign?
No. A review identifies and tests risk against an agreed basis. Redesign is a separate scope with its own inputs, coordination duties and design responsibility.
Can the review be completed before tender?
Yes. Pre-tender review is often the most commercially useful point because gaps can be resolved before pricing and procurement assumptions harden.
What determines the depth of a design audit?
The project stage, consequence of failure, available evidence, sample size, programme and intended reliance are fixed before review begins.
